People are always complaining that there is nothing to do in Medford. The fact of the matter is that there is plenty of things to do in Medford.

There are a handful of online event calendars covering Medford. But the one I like the most is from iseesouthernoregon.com. This is quite possibly one of the most comprehensive event calendars and it covers all of Southern Oregon. Plus it has a really good Medford business listings

I'm not kiiding, this really is the best event calendar for all of Southern Oregon. . You can find stuff happening every day and night of the week. Pretty much every category of event you could think of is included in this calendar, as long as it is legal.

This event calendar is awesome. Here is what I like about it.

1. It is broken out into main themes so that you can get to the meat and potato’s of what it is you are really interested in doing. It covers things from community events, theater and performances, live music Medford, karaoke, dancing, classes, comedy shows, and many more. Which is why I like this event calendar Medford Oregon

2. You can search it. Finding specific events in specifc cities is easy with the search function. This feature is really nice as it is a major time saver. Scroll though all the listing and you will be enlightened to all of the fun things happening. You will find something that sounds interesting.

3. Everyone is allowed to post an event. Although you do need to be a member to do so, but membership is free so you really can’t go wrong.

This is far from being perfect. And the creators know this and are constantly tweaking it get it there. There are some features that I would like to see that I think would make it really cool. And who knows, maybe those guys will end up reading this article and take these suggestions to heart.

1. It would be nice if there was a notification system. If there are certain types of events that I like I wish I could get notified about them vs. having to check the site all the time. . This would allow me to plan for these events. Getting a sitter is tough. But if I was notified way ahead of time it would be much easier. Now, this feature may be there but I did not see it if it is.

2. Get text messages about the types of events that I am interested in that are happening that day. Now this will probably make me sad more than anything as I will rarely be able to go to any of them on short notice, but hey, you never now.

I doubt number 2 on the things they could do to make this events calendar better will ever happen. It would cost a fair amount of money. Still, it would be pretty cool.

Anyway, if you ever get bored in Medford Oregon and start complaining about there’s nothing to do. Don’t forget about this event calendar. Check it out. I guarantee you there is plenty happening around Southern Oregon, you just don’t know it.
